Horses Looking for Love
If we have any horses looking for their forever family you'll find them on this page!

Real Curious George
Looking for your dream horse? Take this quiz to see if George is right for you!
Question 1: Describe your perfect day with your equine companion.
A. You head out to the barn at a leisurely 10 a.m., coffee in hand. Your horse sees you coming and nickers, walking all the way to the gate to meet you. You groom in the crossties, your buddy nodding off while you braid his luscious mane. You go on a long trail ride with your friends, leading the way on your bold and unflappable steed.
B. You wake up at 5 a.m., at the barn by 5:15 and ride for an hour, mostly conditioning then head to work. After work, it’s straight to the barn for another hour of conditioning, then the gym to work on your thigh muscles to get a steadier posting trot.
Question 2: What are your goals as a rider?
A. You’re an adult amateur, a teenage girl, or a family. You want a steady and kind horse who can ride in the ring or on the trail, who can spend a day exploring the woods then head to a show the next day.
B. You’re a professional jumper who wants to jump 4 feet.
Question 3: Who is your favorite roommate from New Girl? (You know, that show with Zooey Deschanel where she moves into an apartment with a bunch of guys)
A. Nick. You love the crotchety guy with the heart of gold. He’s loyal and funny and humble and will do anything for his favorite people.
B. Schmidt. You love the arrogant but loveable show off with a penchant for expensive suits.
If you answered all A's, then George just might be the gelding for you!

Things we love about George:
-
He stands like a saint for the farrier, vet, and dentist.
-
He gets along with everyone (horses and humans) and can be turned out with mares or geldings with no problem.
-
He has a kind heart and is eager to connect.
-
He is wicked smart and a willing learner who wants to grow alongside his human.
-
He is LOYAL and wants his own person to bond with.
-
He is funny and has a curious and entertaining personality.
-
He’s an easy keeper! He thrives barefoot and grazing in the field with his friends.
Is he perfect? Yes!
Okay, well, no, BUT pobody’s nerfect, and the things he needs work on are totally achievable.
Areas of improvement:
-
He has had pain in his past with ill-fitting saddles, so he is still nervous about being tacked up.
-
He is green-broke under saddle. He can walk, trot, canter, and stop but that’s all the buttons he has so far. He’s an eager learner, so with consistent work and a steady hand, he will go far.
-
While he can canter under saddle, it is difficult for him because he needs to get stronger and practice more.
-
He’s still building muscle because he’s been out of work.
Tall(ish), dark, and handsome, George is looking for his forever person.
What do you get for your investment?
-
A handsome, loyal, steadfast partner who will quickly become the barn favorite.
-
All of his tack! It took us a while to find a saddle that would fit him and that he liked, and we don’t want his next partner to have the same struggle we did. We have a Wintec all purpose english saddle, a saddle pad, and a headstall that will accompany him.
-
2 lessons with us (within one hour of our barn in Princeton, NJ). It takes a while to figure out how to work with a new horse and we want that transition to be as easy as possible.
-
One month of board at his current farm.
-
Peace of mind. If an issue comes up with George one month, one year, or one decade later, you can call us! We are invested in his (and your) success.
Okay, now that you’re ready to ride off into the sunset together, I’m sure you want to know how much you’ll need to invest.
Price: TBD in mid $x,xxx
